My name is Amara Carey. I am a model and poet. I started writing poems at the age of 12. The only time I write is when I am inspired, so each poem has meaning to me. Expressing myself through poetry has been very therapeutic and I hope that you are inspired by my work.

My series, “She Has a Voice” brings you on a journey while seeing my perspective and outlook on life situations. Through each chapbook, you will see myself evolving through different experiences. For me it was a goal of mine to not only be heard, but to be understood. You too can evolve and create something great by sharing your voice. To anyone that supports me, I cannot thank you enough!
